Retiring from full-time employment in Aug. of 1998, Bob formed Thurgaland Marketing & Consulting to serve clients in a wide variety of categories nationwide, including government, politics, law enforcement, fire and rescue, education, resorts and travel, economic development, manufacturers and suppliers, real estate development, training and instructional, medical and the media. Plus, a special focus is placed on the vast array of not-for-profit organizations that serve their respective markets. Bob Thurgaland has a lifetime of professional multi-level experience in the related industries of media and marketing. With 40 yrs. in broadcasting, advertising, marketing, media and political relations, he is prepared to offer a diverse level of advise and counsel, and provide creative services that cover all your communication and media requirements.

     Todd Thurgaland - Vice President  
Todd Thurgaland, has been in television production all his life. Starting his career at 18 as a shooter and editor, he quickly showed the skills necessary to be a productive professional producer/director. Todd is extensively experienced in both linear and nonlinear production. His editing and production skills include several years operating Sony’s BVE computerized edit systems and Avid’s Media Composer Digital Nonlinear editing system.  Todd has directed multi-camera projects on Live/Tape Remote Broadcasts. He also has directed broadcast studio operations on a Grass Valley Board in a linear Beta-SP production and post-production configuration. This background, in addition to his creative ingenuity and imaginative use of broadcast cameras, lighting, and field-acquisition equipment, makes Todd Thurgaland a well-rounded television producer/director able to work in a variety of creative environments both in-studio and on-location.

Paul Prewitt - Under H20 Film & Video

Paul Prewitt has worked with Thurgaland since the beginning. He comes to us with 30 yrs experience producing Film & Video for television and theatrical release. Paul is a seasoned cameraman, freelancing for numerous broadcast events in national and international markets.  From his early years of shooting underwater surf films around the world, to his recent years of producing iN-demand Pay-Per View bikini specials, Paul Prewitt specializes in capturing the action by any means, delivering fantastic shots and angles for any production.  Paul is also a professional still photographer, shooting catalogs for companies such as Harley Davidson. 

Paul is at home on the ocean.  Home based out of Daytona Beach, Florida, Paul does all of our underwater video and is the best H2O shooter on the planet!  

Paul, on-location, in The Bahamas.  Paul is currently working on a major Documentary on Cuba.  Acquiring more than 100 hrs of video over a dozen expeditions to Cuba, Paul has documented the local lifestyle through the culture, music, and art of this unique and isolated island. 

 

Sean Davis - Prod. Coordinator / Lighting Dir.

* Sean comes to us from the independent film world.  With a keen interest in movie making and a passion for detail, Sean is at home "on the set".  Sean can fill any shoes, up to size 14, with more than a decade of independent production experience, from producing, directing, production coordinator, set manager, lighting director, 2nd DP, and Camera Operator.

Aside from his many film credits...Sean is also a Firearm Specialist, Music Trainer (vocals, guitar), PADI Scuba Instructor, CDL License, Civil Air Patrol Member, and on the Advisement Board for the International Academy of Art and Design.

 

Shayne Mills - Photographer / Videographer / Actor

Shayne Mills joined Thurgaland in the fall of 2002. He comes to us with 15 yrs experience in all aspects of the Video & Film Production. Shayne is a seasoned on camera talent with 6 yrs as a reporter and anchor for a local Florida television station, shooting, writing, and editing countless news packages and stories along the way. In an effort to expand his talent in front of the camera, he moved to Hollywood California where he spent 8 yrs pursuing his "acting" career. Shayne Mills Hollywood credits include numerous student films at UCLA, multiple television campaigns & commercials, as well as stand-ins and bit parts in Premium Hollywood movies such as Vanilla Sky w/ Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz. Shayne also has had the honor of working with great Directors like Cameron Crow. Today, Shayne is involved in everything from camera work to editing, acting and writing.

       

Shayne is a great guy to have around, a close friend of the family for 20 yrs, and a team player.  We are proud to have him with us.

 

 

Michael Cunningham - Writer / Producer*

Michael Cunningham, a broadcast journalist for more than 30 years, joined Thurgaland in September 2002 as a free-lance producer.  As a news anchor for CNN Radio, the nation's largest radio news network, Mike was heard worldwide for 12 years, reporting on breaking news stories that ranged from the Gulf War to the September 11th terrorist attacks.  His voice has also been heard on news updates and promotions for CNN and CNN Headline News.  Mike has received numerous awards for medical, science and technology reporting, including the Medical Association of Atlanta's Gold Award and the Award of Excellence from the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland.  Other honors include several AP and UPI awards, as well as the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, the Edward R. Murrow Journalism Award and the Ohio State Journalism Award.
 

                       

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Mike is an FAA-licensed pilot and has two grown sons, Sean and Ian.
